A scandalous vegan activist was banned from leaving Western Australia (6 photos + 1 video)
Vegan activist Tash Peterson has been banned from leaving Western Australia for six months and fined for causing a disturbance at a Perth restaurant. The animal rights activist stormed into the Fyre shouting: "You can hear the squeals of pigs being killed in gas chambers!"
Last month, Tash pleaded guilty to two charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct.
The incident began with a social media post. John Mountain, the restaurant's owner and chef,
posted a notice on his page: "Unfortunately, vegans are now banned from the Fyre (for mental health reasons). Thank you for your understanding."
In response, on June 30, Peterson and her supporters stormed the establishment and started a brawl with Mountain and his staff. As a result, the restaurateur filed a lawsuit. But a week later, Tash visited the Fyre again: this time she showed footage of the animals being killed.
Peterson was fined a total of $2,300 plus costs and ordered to do 30 hours of community service over six months. Under the WA Government's regulations, the offender "is prohibited from leaving the state without prior permission from the Community Corrections Centre."
The activist commented: "Basically, I'll be stuck in shit if I commit another offence."
Fyre also reported the outcome of the trial: "Peterson pleaded guilty to the offences committed at our establishment. She will be banned from leaving the state for six months, will be required to collect 'shit' for 30 hours, and will also pay $2,300 in costs and expenses. Thank you to the WA Police, we love you at Fyre."
Tash has made headlines around the world for her similar protests, stripping naked, bleeding in a butcher shop, and harassing restaurant patrons.
Mountain concluded: "These people have nothing better to do. We've had to deal with mentally ill vegans. It's bad for business, despite our best efforts."
