One of the passengers, noticing strange holes, decided to measure them with a banana. But the posted photos caused a flurry of humorous comments, although the users still managed to figure out the purpose of these holes.

Recently, a 61-year-old passenger named Stephen, waiting for his flight at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, noticed strange round holes in the glass and decided to figure out their purpose. He turned to members of the Facebook group "Boring Men's Club" for help, which has more than 100 thousand members.

Steven attached photos of the holes using a banana for scaling, sparking a flurry of humorous comments.

"Sitting at CDG airport and noticed this oddity in a few glasses. It's not a magnifying glass, but what is it, what purpose does it serve? The emergency banana is conveniently placed for scale. Male, 61. Leaving Paris before the Olympics," he wrote on the social network.

The post sparked a lively discussion among the group, with some joking about the significance of the banana, while others tried to find a logical explanation.

One participant, Justin, wrote: "Finally someone has a banana," to which another participant, Dwayne, added: "Really? Everyone's excuse is that they don't have a banana on hand, but this guy who's prepared brought one on the plane."

Other participants offered theories ranging from donut holes or cups to sniper rifle bullet holes and Dyson fans. However, most agreed that the holes were related to air pressure control.

One of the group members named Jeff explained that the holes allow pressure to equalize during sudden changes in the atmosphere during takeoff and landing. According to him, many windows in airports are reinforced in some way, and this is one of many solutions.

A certain Victoria agreed with him and wrote that this is due to maintaining the correct air pressure in the room.

But the most accurate explanation for the "banana" holes was given by user Jamie, who responded to skeptics of this version who claim that no air pressure control is needed.

"A lot of high-speed air comes from planes parked right in front of the windows. Also, these planes can explode. This can cause pressure. Why don't they take precautions?" she responded to critics.
