A dam broke on the Kialimskoye Reservoir in the Chelyabinsk region of the Russian Federation

In the city of Karabash in the Chelyabinsk region today, July 26, the dam of the Kialim reservoir burst. A large number of houses were flooded.

According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, under threat of flooding due to a dam break in the Chelyabinsk region, almost 190 residents of several settlements - Kialim, Mukhametovo, Saktaevo, Karasayevo and Baydashevo - are asked to pack their things and be ready to evacuate.

It is noted that the dam collapsed due to heavy rains.

A section of the road was also flooded.

Recall that in April of this year, the Russian city of Orsk in the Orenburg region was flooded. There, the dam also burst. Then the local authorities called on residents to urgently evacuate amid the threat of flooding.
