Russian invaders destroyed the dam of the Karlovsky reservoir in the Donetsk region during the evening attack on May 25. Three settlements are under the threat of flooding.

"Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the Russian occupying army has been constantly shelling Karlovka, striking precisely at the dam, neglecting the fact that civilians will suffer from these actions," the head of the Donetsk Regional Military District, Pavel Kirilenko, said in a Telegram message.

At the same time, he pointed out that as a result of the Russian attack, flooding threatens the villages of Galitsinovka, Zhelannoye-1 and Zhelannoye-2. According to him, all the necessary services have already started to work.

"Communities that are in the zone of probable flooding have been warned. If necessary, the evacuation of the civilian population will begin," the head of the region summed up.
