Coldplay invited Michael J. Fox on stage during their performance at the Glastonbury music festival in the UK. The star of the Back to the Future trilogy played the guitar song “Fix You” with the band. On stage, the actor was in a wheelchair.
In 1991, Michael J. Fox, who was 29 years old at the time, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. The actor announced his retirement from acting in 2020 amid his battle with illness.
The vocalist encouraged Michael with the phrase “Go, Johnny go!” (Go, go! Go Johnny, go), referring to Chuck Berry's hit Johnny B. Goode, which Fox performed in one of the scenes in the film Back to the Future. The actor's optimism energizes people.
