Lucy consoled herself that the pet had simply gone to live with some old grandmother, but deep down she felt that he had been hit by a car.





Lucy Warrington unexpectedly found her cat Leo, who disappeared back in 2014. The pet left home after the woman temporarily moved to Rome with her husband Stu, leaving the pet with a friend's sister.

Lucy, a film producer from Leeds (UK), consoled herself that Leo had simply gone to live with some old grandmother, but deep down she felt that his faithful comrade had probably been hit by a car.



Years passed and over time the Warringtons began to think about getting a new pet, but to prevent the tragic story from repeating itself, they decided to breed dogs.

"Doggies can be taken for walks, but cats can go for walks on their own. We wouldn't want to keep a fluffy in the house or risk getting hit by a car," explains Lucy.





Last year, an unfamiliar veterinarian called the woman and told her that Leo was alive. As it turned out, all this time the cat lived with a farmer's family near Oldham, where he was mistaken for a cat and even came up with a new name - Jess. The truth was revealed when the pet was brought to the vet because of lameness and a microchip was discovered with information about the previous owner.

“At first I thought: “God, no.” Our dogs are afraid of everything - even cats. Leo is now 14 years old ... And we live in another house,” Lucy explains her decision not to adopt the cat.

Therefore, the farmer's family kept Leo, and the Warringtons were invited to visit. When Lucy met her former pet, who now lives happily in the company of sheep, goats, turtles and rabbits, she immediately laughed.
