The Chinese have made an Arcfox Alpha S5 electric car with a fully projection dashboard (5 photos)
Chinese auto company Arcfox has announced the release of a new liftback called Alpha S5, which will have a feature in the form of the absence of a traditional dashboard. Instead, all data and information will be displayed on the windshield. 
Overall, the new Arcfox Alpha S5 looks quite sporty. This is certainly helped by the use of black on the roof, mirrors and wheels, but it also has to do with the lines of the car themselves. Despite the fastback styling, the car is a true sedan and not a hatchback.
The Alpha S5 is 4820mm long, 1930mm wide and 1480mm high, with a wheelbase of 2900mm.
Versions of the car will be available with both one and two engines. The power of the version with one motor is 270 hp, which provides a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The dual-motor version adds a 260 hp motor to the rear axle.
The basic version uses a lithium iron phosphate battery, while more advanced versions are equipped with ternary lithium batteries (NCM), all supplied by CATL.
Previous spy shots indicate that the Arcfox Alpha S5 will exclusively display driver information through its head-up display. There is also a 14.6-inch central multimedia screen. Many cockpit functions and autonomous driving functions will likely be based on Huawei Inside (HI) technology. Cockpit functions are controlled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.
Prices are expected to start at around 200,000 yuan, or around $26,000.
