At the Chery Technology DAY 2023 event, the Chinese company presented a hybrid version of the previously presented petrol model Tiggo 9 - the Fengyun T9 crossover. The design of the new product remains the same, but the power plant has completely changed.
The car is built on the Kungpeng Super Performance Electric C-DM platform. It consists of a gasoline engine (1.5 l) and two synchronous electric ones, as well as a 3DHT gearbox. The battery capacity of the new product is 34.4 kWh. Fengyun T9 will be available in front- and all-wheel drive versions with electric motor power of 165 and 340 kW, respectively. Fuel consumption is the same - 5.7 liters per 100 km in both cases.
The declared range from the battery alone is 160 and 150 km, and with a full tank - 1321 and 1100 km for the front- and all-wheel drive versions, respectively. Acceleration time to 100 km/h also differs: 4.9 seconds with all-wheel drive, and 8.4 seconds with front-wheel drive. It is noted that the battery of a hybrid car is charged from 30% to 80% in 22 minutes.
In terms of interior, the Fengyun T9 is also practically identical to the petrol Tiggo 9. The main feature of the interior is a multimedia system with two 12.3-inch displays, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.
The new product will go on sale next year in China, the price of the car will be announced later.
