Spaniard sets fire to a cafe for refusing mayonnaise for a sandwich (5 photos + 1 video)
A man in Spain set fire to a cafe after staff told him they had run out of mayonnaise. CCTV footage shows the man pouring petrol on the bar at Las Postas in Los Palacios y Villafranca and setting it on fire. The flames immediately burst into flames, sending customers and staff running away.
A man in his 50s and his son came into the eatery on Wednesday and ordered two sandwiches.
According to the Spanish news outlet La Sexta, the guest asked the waiter if there was mayonnaise, but he replied that the sauce had run out. The man asked another waiter, who confirmed his colleague's words.

The enraged customer ran out of the cafe. A few moments later, he returned with a 1.5-liter bottle of gasoline and started a fire.
Employees quickly put out the fire and prevented it from spreading throughout the cafe. The Civil Guard arrested the arsonist, who was taken to a local medical center with burns on his hands.
According to witnesses, a waiter, an elderly man and a small child were injured.
The material damage and lost profits as a result of the incident amounted to about 7,000 euros. The man was charged with causing damage, arson and creating a threat.
And it comes as Spain is experiencing one of its most devastating fire seasons in decades, with smaller, sparsely populated towns in Galicia particularly hard hit.
Firefighters from Germany arrived in northern Spain on Tuesday, the Spanish Interior Ministry said.
More than 20 vehicles were sent to battle the blaze in Jarilla in the Extremadura region, which borders Portugal. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez visited the area on Tuesday and spoke of the heatwave that led to the disaster. The fires have killed four people and engulfed more than 382,000 hectares of land.
