The fact is that loving Italians often found themselves in very awkward situations when their spouses opened letters with fines.





Although cameras help fight against violators, often those who are photographed are those whom wives should not see. So the law enforcement agencies decided to fight this problem.

The decision was made against the backdrop of complaints about interference with privacy and increasing cases of unmasking of infidelities, divorces and failed deals after receiving images from speed cameras.



In this regard, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, even issued a decree; it will regulate the use of speed cameras. They will be used as before, but now, so that husbands do not expose their mistresses, photos of violations will no longer be sent, only a statement with the fine itself.



If there is an urgent need to document the presence of a violation by a magistrate or prefect, then law enforcement officials will be required to darken the faces of the people in the car, as well as the license plates of other vehicles included in the photograph, and the photograph itself will be transferred exclusively to the owner of the car.
