During the 1968 model year, Dodge produced more than 96,000 Charger coupes. However, the muscle car up for auction can still be called a rare representative of this year. The fact is that in 1980, the Charger was put in a garage and the car no longer moved until the moment when they decided to sell it.





The seller does not specify why the Charger was not used for its intended purpose for almost half a century. However, he places special emphasis on the fact that thanks to this, the muscle car remained completely original with all license plates and paintwork. The coupe has not been restored, modified or otherwise modified - the Charger is in the same condition as it left the factory, taking into account the age of the car.

The condition of the sports car is far from ideal due to lack of proper care. There are a lot of rust spots on the body, the vinyl roof covering had to be thrown away, and the seat upholstery was torn. In addition, the seller doubts the performance of the engine and braking system, although he notes that all gears in the box are engaged. The car is presented as a candidate for restoration to factory condition (according to the owner, some of the original body parts can still be saved) or construction of a restomod.

The Dodge Charger is equipped with a 5.2-liter V8 producing 230 hp. and 460 Nm in combination with a three-speed automatic transmission.

As a result, the car found a new owner, who forked out $30,100.
