The guy boasted of a gigantic 100-kilogram catch (7 photos)
The 17-year-old shared footage of his giant catch. He and his friends caught a huge guasu fish weighing 113 kilograms at Turtle Beach in Florida, USA.
Isaac Francis, a 17-year-old high school student, shared photos of his catch on social media. A guy and friends were fishing at Turtle Beach in Sarasota, Florida, and caught a huge guasa (grouper) weighing 113 kg. According to his father Stu Francis, the guy "had a long struggle" pulling the fish out of the water on a fishing rod. Isaac was an avid fisherman from an early age, so this catch is not just luck, but also the result of his skill and experience in fishing.
As you know, the guys moved the fish into shallow water to take photos and then released it. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, groupers must be released into the ocean alive, unharmed and with proper fish handling practices. Fishermen are also not allowed to remove the guasa from the water, as it could cause fatal injuries.
Although the boys' catch was large, it was not the largest grouper caught in the United States. The record was set in 1961, when a grouper weighing 308 kilograms was caught off the coast of Fernandina Beach. It is known that in other areas the weight of the fish reaches 362 kg, and the length can exceed 2.5 meters.
