Fisherman boasts of rare fish with blue meat that changes color
An Alaskan resident shared a rare catch: a fisherman caught a red greenling, which is also called a hare-headed greenling. This saltwater fish usually has blue or turquoise gills and flesh.
Kmelek said that when cooked, greenling meat changes color and turns from blue to white.
The red greenling, or Hexagrammos lagocephalus, is a marine bottom-dwelling fish of the family Greenling.
