A court in France found actor Alain Delon partially incompetent and prohibited him from disposing of his property (4 photos)
This decision is associated with the artist’s children, who are already squabbling with all their might over the inheritance.
French actor Alain Delon was limited in his legal capacity and prohibited from performing legally significant actions, such as the sale of real estate and other expensive property. A court-appointed person, whose identity has not yet been revealed, will be responsible for them. His duties will also include helping the actor choose doctors.
The verdict was handed down by a special guardianship judge after an appeal from the lawyers of Delon and his daughter Anushka, who insists that her father should be examined by his Swiss doctor. Delon's sons (59-year-old Anthony and 29-year-old Alain-Fabien) accuse their sister living in Switzerland of putting pressure on their father, who expressed his will to spend his last days in his home in the commune of Souls. They believe that Anushka insists on her father moving to Switzerland just to avoid paying inheritance taxes after his death. Moreover, both previously insisted on establishing guardianship over their father, but Anushka opposed this, since the guardian receives control over Delon’s companies.

The French magazine Voici writes that the family conflict is related to the actor’s inheritance, with which his sons are dissatisfied. Alain Delon bequeathed 50% of his property to his daughter, and 25% to his sons. Anthony and Alain-Fabien deny selfish motives and say they agree with their father's decision, but they oppose their father's move to Switzerland.
As journalists note, Alain Delon has earned a colossal fortune during his brilliant career, which includes royalties for the use of his name in perfumes, tobacco products and clothing, especially in Asia. In addition, the actor has a significant collection of works of art, part of which he sold for 17 million euros in past years.

Alain Delon announced his retirement from acting in 2017. In 2019, he suffered a stroke and was never able to fully recover from the blow. It was from this moment that family squabbles began over the artist’s inheritance.
