Retrofuturistic prototype Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven (20 photos + 1 video)
Mercedes-Benz showcased the latest in design and technology with a retrofuturistic prototype of the Vision One-Eleven, which reminiscent of the experimental C111 line being developed in the 1970s years.
The interior is made mainly in white, diluted body color details. The steering wheel is rectangular, the front panel represents a narrow solid display across the entire width of the body. Declared augmented reality feature.
The source of inspiration became a conventionally serial car: it was 16 Mercedes-Benz C111s were produced. Of these, 13 were equipped four-section rotary Wankel engines, two received five-cylinder diesel, and another - petrol V8. Vision One-Eleven guaranteed to be one of a kind.
The gullwing doors are a reference not only to the C111, but also to the iconic 1954 300 SL coupe. Other design elements though made in the most modern way (for example, headlights and lanterns have become "pixelated"), but stylized as Mercedes-Benz C111.
