Sometimes our smaller brothers cannot cope without human help. Recently in the UK, people noticed a cow that had fallen into a cesspool filled with waste. A whole fire brigade with equipment came to save the poor man.
Not far from a farm in the British city of Bromyard, a cow fell into a cesspool filled with waste. The poor thing was covered in dirt and clearly very scared. Seeing her, local residents called rescuers - and the entire fire brigade of the county of Hereford and Worcester went to help the cow.
First, firefighters drained the pit, removing all waste and liquid from it, and then tranquilized the cow. They put special belts on the cow and lifted it using a tractor. It is unknown how long the cow spent in the pit, but she was clearly stressed. She was not injured in the fall and her health was fine - so after being rescued she was taken to a farm.
After the rescue, firefighters wrote on social media that it was a "dirty day" and rescuing such a large animal is not an easy process. Now the cow is recovering from her experience in the barn - and will probably no longer go near the cesspools.
