Teresa Saldana and a killer in love (8 photos)
“I love and I will kill.” This principle is often guided not only by people who are madly jealous of their spouses or partners, but also by those who have not even seen the object of passion in reality.
Teresa Saldana (1954-2016) began to conquer the film Olympus in the 80s. And quite successfully. By this time, the actress had roles in films such as Raging Bull, where she starred with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci, as well as I Want to Hold Your Hand (1978) and Disobedience (1980).
In 1982, a tragedy occurred in a woman’s life, splitting her life into before and after. It must be said that in terms of luck, Teresa was, in principle, either lucky or not. She was abandoned by her biological mother, but was adopted by a caring family. Due to an injury, the girl had to give up her favorite dances, but she compensated for the bad luck with a film career.
Naturally, the attractive young woman gained an army of fans after the release of the films. One of them, 46-year-old Arthur Jackson, felt an unhealthy passion and decided to get as close as possible to the object of his desires.

Arthur hired a private detective to find the actress's address. Tom was unable to get the necessary information, but he found the coordinates of Mother Teresa. Jackson tricked her by calling her and posing as an assistant director to get the information she needed.
On the threshold of the apartment, a man waylaid the actress and stabbed her 10 times. There were a lot of people around, but they were frozen with fear and surprise. The situation and Teresa were saved by the courier who delivered the water. And Jackson was unable to realize his plan - to reunite with his inaccessible lover in another, better world.

Teresa survived. But her appearance was seriously damaged, especially her face, which is a calling card for any actress. The woman found the strength to return to her profession. And her first work after the break was the film “Victims for Victims: The Story of Teresa Saldana.” She began creating groups to help victims of violent crimes. And personal tragedy has become one of the key factors in changes in the legislative sphere, which has strengthened the protection of personal data.
After the court hearing
Teresa did not leave her job. And she starred in more than 40 films and TV series, including “Police Commissioner” (the show made her very popular in the 1990s), “Law & Order”, “The Twilight Zone”, “Last Night”, “I Want to Hold You” hand".
Amazingly, the accident became happy for one of the participants in the tragic story - that same brave delivery man. He decided to join the police to protect people and eventually became a sheriff.
Jackson, declared insane and placed in a mental hospital for criminals, sent threatening letters to the victim for the rest of his life. He died in 2004. In the same year, Teresa, as if allowing herself to relax after so many years of tension and trying to show the killer that she was not broken, announced her retirement from film career.
The woman died in 2016, going down in history not only as an actress, but also as an advocate for victims’ rights.
