A whale hit a windsurfer and was caught on video in Australia
A 55-year-old outdoor enthusiast was swimming on a board with a sail off the coast of Mona Vale (a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) when a humpback whale interrupted the journey of a local extreme sportsman.
According to the windsurfer, a playful baby whale knocked him off his board and disappeared into the depths of the sea.
The man had to swim to the shore, where he told his friends about what had happened.
No one he knew believed that he had collided with a whale, and the thrill-seeker provided video taken by a GoPro camera attached to the top of the sail as evidence.
“A whale just hit me! Honestly, I thought that I was no more and for a few seconds I was under the impression - this is what it’s like to die,” the author of the video wrote in a commentary on the story posted on the Internet.
