Olenyok is not a diminutive form of the word "deer". This is a completely independent species of mammals from the deer family. These babies live mainly in Southeast Asia. They weigh only a couple of kilograms, their body length is approximately 45 centimeters, and they are no higher than 25 centimeters tall. The deer is the smallest artiodactyl animal in the world, which is why it is not called the “mouse deer” for nothing. This is what an adult deer looks like. Just look at how skinny his twig legs are!
