Geneta - an unusual mix of cat, ferret and raccoon

Genets are very cute, agile and beautiful animals that live in most of Africa and in parts of Southern Europe and the Middle East. Looking at them, you might think that this is some kind of strange mixture of a cat, a ferret and a raccoon. But in reality, the closest relative of the geneta are mongooses. Despite its exoticism, this animal gets along well with people and can become a good, unpretentious pet. An adult genet weighs a maximum of only two kilograms, and the body length is about half a meter.
