The first photos of the consequences of a fire on a cargo ship carrying 3,784 vehicles (7 photos)
The CarBuzz website published photos taken in the hold of the burned-out car carrier Fremantle Highway, which was transporting 3784 cars. Part of the cargo survived, but was subjected to temperature exposure and water fire services. 
The bodies of the cars were badly damaged, the metal was partially destroyed. Tem no less in the skeletons you can recognize the Porsche 911 and Taycan, as well as five-door MINI. The bulk of the cargo consisted of BMW cars and Mercedes-Benz.
Fremantle Highway is designed for 6,000 cars. During The ill-fated flight had 3,784 vehicles on board. Initially it was said that there are only 25 electric ones, but later it began to appear number 498. Presumably, the battery of one of them self-ignited.
Rescuers report that the fire did not reach some decks, and cars didn't burn out. However, they most likely experienced exposure to high temperatures and water firefighters. They are hardly possible transfer to clients.
Preliminary damage is estimated at 330 million dollars. This only the cost of burned-out cars, excluding the ship itself. Year ago, as a result of a similar incident, a ship was destroyed Felicity Ace. It is possible that now shipowners will impose a ban on transportation of electric vehicles or special conditions for them.
