For any old dog, ending up in a shelter is tantamount to death. For the most part, people do not want to have old animals, because they know that they will soon have to say goodbye to them. But there are those for whom the age of the animal is absolutely not important and they are ready to surround their pet with love and care.
When the German Shepherd Maverick first showed gray hair, his owners realized that he was getting old and it was time to get rid of him. That's how this beautiful dog ended up in a shelter. His look indicated that the dog had accepted his fate, because for a long time no one wanted to take him.
When the shelter worker opened the doors of his enclosure, Maverick most likely thought that he was being taken for euthanasia, as they did with other old and sick animals...

Yes, there were people who fell in love with this old dog. But it's not all good news for Maverick. It turned out that this family lives on a large and spacious farm, where there are other animals with which our hero can make friends.
