russian invasion of Ukraine. Chronicle for November 9-10

Category: Summary, PEGI 16
11 November 2023

In the early morning of February 24, 2022, Russia launched missile attacks on Ukrainian territory and launched a direct, full-scale invasion. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repel the enemy

- Egypt will most likely begin returning to Russia next month about 150 helicopter engines that it previously purchased from Moscow, WSJ reports.

Last April, a delegation of Russian officials visited Cairo and asked the Egyptian President to return more than a hundred Russian helicopter engines to replace those lost at the beginning of the invasion.

In addition to Egypt, the Russian Federation also requested the return of engines to Pakistan, Belarus and Brazil.

- Putin:

Russia considers Kazakhstan not just an ally, but its closest ally.

- In Skadovsk there is a bold arrival at the location of the occupiers.

It is already known that the dead and wounded are Russians, and there may be officers among them.

- For the first time in history, Russia was not elected to the International Court of Justice, - Zelensky.

Terrorists in court can only be in the dock

- The Ukrainian Armed Forces cut off the Oleshki-Novaya Kakhovka road in at least two sections, – ISW.

▪️Ukrainian troops established control over new positions in Krynki and continued to attack in the Poima, Peschanivka and Podstepne areas;

▪️Russian military command will likely have difficulty redeploying combat-ready reinforcements to respond to Ukrainian operations in the Kherson region.

- Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Katarina Maternova believes that there are no shortcuts to the European Union

Ukraine must “take on its shoulders a massive volume of laws and institutions” that need to be adopted and implemented, which takes time. Maternova doubts that Ukraine will be able to become a member of the EU in 2 years, but hopes to see it in the European Union within this decade.

- Ukraine will soon receive the 3rd Patriot division, – Ignat.

Powerful strengthening of air defense before winter

- During Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at least 197 Russian military pilots were eliminated, — BBC.

It is noted that these are specialists; the training of each of them requires at least six years and over $3 million.

- “The State Duma proposed creating a separate Internet for Russia and BRICS.”

It reads between the lines — connect the Chinese network at a price x10 of the original one, and even better, with coupons and all this, for the sake of “traditional values”🤡

- The worries about the MiG-31k will become longer, – Ignat.

If earlier the alarm lasted on average 20 minutes, now it will be more than 2.5 hours, because the fighters will practice refueling in the air.

- Russian landing boats struck in Crimea sank, – Power steering

Two boats of the occupiers suffered defeats: one ship of the more ancient Project 1176 “shark”, the other newer – project 11770 "chamois".

Orban, what happened?

- HIMARS MLRS strike on a cluster of pRussian military in the southern direction

- Destroyed/damaged Russian armored vehicles and dead infantry in the Avdeevsky direction

- In the city of Kotovsk, in the Tambov region — direct hit of a drone into a powder factory.

- In a photo of an American F-35 with two B61-12 nuclear bombs, the head of the Dutch air force combat command said that the Dutch F-35s have passed initial certification to carry out a nuclear mission.

- Lithuania proposes to send advisers to Ukraine for reforms and the fight against corruption

The Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anusauskas spoke about this in Kyiv during a meeting with the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.

"The experience of Lithuanian specialists in creating procurement agencies for weapons and non-lethal products is important to us. A team from the Ministry of Defense is currently working on the full launch of such agencies," – Umerov noted.

- As I already told you, Russian-made Shaheds are distinguished by a new navigation system. Moreover, as we move from old components to new ones, there are different configuration options. What has changed?

1. The GPS receiving module is now used by Unistrong. Phantom P20, P34 and Eclipse P326, P327 models may be found

Has the situation become worse for us? Definitely. This receiver has 850 channels, supports multiple data inputs and most importantly, it accepts EVERYTHING that can be received from GPS navigation signals L1CA/L1P/L1C/L2P/L2C/L5 GLONASS G1/G2/G3, P1/P2 BeiDou B1i/B2i /B3i/B10C/B2A/B2B/ ACEBOC GALILEO E1BC/E5a/E5b/E6BC/ ALTBOC QZSS L1CA/L2C/L5/L1C/LEX IRNSS L5 Atlas

Now we will have to crush all these ranges with electronic warfare. Some of them are new and will have to be modified in some places.

How do Russians buy this cool module? Probably everything is under sanctions. The sanctions are terrible. 20 thousand hryvnia and it’s yours on aliexpress

You can read details about the module here https://www.navtechgps.com/wp-content/uploads/hemispheregnss_phantom20_34_datasheet.pdf

2. The CRPA antenna (protection of the GPS receiving module from electronic warfare) from the Iranian one was replaced by the Russian Comet. Has it gotten worse for us? It has become. Iran's CRPAs were less resistant to electronic warfare.

3. Since new bands appeared in the receivers, a separate external antenna had to be added to Shahed (black in the picture). The antenna operates on the L1/L5 bands. It costs 3000 hryvnia.

It is also sold "worldwide"

4. How to connect both the Comet and an external antenna to one input of the receiver? Yes, very simple. Pull out the NMEA stream from the Comet and connect it to the receiver port.

So the Russians created a comprehensive Russian-Chinese navigation system for the Shahed attack drone, which became even more difficult to suppress. Seeing this set of components, I am skeptical about the effectiveness of sanctions.

But it’s okay, we also have good engineers. We will overcome.

- In Transcarpathia, the company sewed jackets for the Russian national skiing team.

- The Russian Federation involuntarily finally confirmed that the S-400, even with 40N6, cannot fight ballistic missiles.

In the Russian Federation, the 40N6 missile for the S-400 air defense system was praised so much that its main flaw was revealed, which is 20 years behind the current level of technology

- The National Council included the popular website with films and TV series HD REZKA among the banned 16 media services from Russia

What are the reasons?

▪️The National Council recorded the discrepancy between the ownership structure of these entities and/or their complete or primary focus on the territory and audience of the aggressor state.

▪️Also these subjects for preAccess to the service uses a domain name from the aggressor state. The default interface language is the state language of the aggressor — Russian; the rules of use and policy of audiovisual media services on request are based on the national legislation of the aggressor state, and Russian advertising is also present.

In addition, the following were prohibited:

- 24TV (24TV)

- Amediateka

- Baskino

- Filmix

- Kinogo

- Kinokrad

- Kinotochka

- KinoZapas

- Kion

- Viju

- GuideOnline

- Lime HD TV — free online TV (Laim HD TV — besplatnoe onlain TV)

- Smotreshka

- Tricolor Cinema and TV online (Trikolor Kino i TV onlain)

- Digital TV 20 channels free (Tsifrovoe TV 20 channels free)

The truth is that the blocking of HD REZKA raises questions, because they always supported the Ukrainian side. The attendance of this resource was 50 million per month, of which 55% were from Ukraine.

Attendance from Russia was less than 10%, apparently due to blocking on the side of Russia itself.

- Very sorry (no)

- How terrible this Russian world of yours is. And they are also trying to drag someone there by force...

“One of them had his finger cut off and forced to chew it. Another was beaten and forced at gunpoint to go there,” — ASTRA learned the name of the second Russian prisoner, who was kept in an illegal prison in Zaitsevo for more than 1.5 months, and then sent to the suicide brigade.

Prisoners Ramis and Elshan (27th Motorized Rifle Brigade) recruited from the colony, who were kept in an illegal prison in Zaitsevo for a month and a half, were sent to the 25th Brigade — its military wives are called the “suicide bombers” brigade.

Ramis' wife Christina claims that her husband was taken from the hospital because he “allegedly beat someone there.” According to her, there are no witnesses or evidence of this beating. “According to the contract, the end of their service is November 11, the guys must be removed from the front in two weeks. No one is going to take them out. The attitude [in the brigade] is bestial, there is no normal uniform. One had his finger cut off and forced to chew it. Another was beaten and forced at gunpoint to go there. At the end of the contract, they are thrust into this hell, where the war itself is not as terrible as the internal politics of this suicide brigade. There is no other way to call it. There is a chance to return from there solely due to injury, there is no other chance. He says: “They are threatening to kill us and declare us missing. For refusal, for any little thing. This is certain death,” — she told ASTRA.

“All we want is for our husbands to return home alive. I have 4 children, they ask every day when their father will return,” — she adds.

Earlier, ASTRA wrote about Ramis’s colleague, Elshan, who was “closed” in Zaitsevo on charges of extortion. Elshan's wife Elena believes that the charges against her husband were fabricated due to a conflict with a senior in rank. The Investigative Committee never received the case, and after talking with the victim, the girl’s doubts about the version of the military police only increased.

- Gaza Strip

- 2023, the Ryazan choreographer dies in the war with Ukraine

- When the manual changed

- And today is the anniversary of the liberation of Kherson and the whining occupiers.

- There are no complaints about Ukrainians

- Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter Vlad Makhovsky was hit by five sniper bullets and he crawled almost a kilometer to a safe place. Despite severe injuries, after rehabilitation he plannedwants to return to the front

27-year-old Vlad Makhovsky from Chernivtsi joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a volunteer on the tenth day of the invasion. Before the full-scale war, he was the owner of a pizzeria. In the Ukrainian army, Vlad became a scout on the Lugansk front. He survived receiving five sniper bullets - with these wounds he crawled almost a kilometer to the evacuation point. After rehabilitation, he was assigned Group III disability. Despite the fact that Vlad is recognized as only partially fit, he plans to return to the front, to his unit.

- Zhymzhymovich

- The problem came out, as usual. They looked for Nazis in Ukraine, but found them only in their own country.

- Another pro-Kremlin Z-blogger said that those mobilized will not be returned home until the end of the war

Following Z-military correspondent Sladkov, who referred to Putin’s words that those called up for mobilization would not be returned until the end of the war, Anastasia Kashevarova stated the same.

«You must understand that it is not possible to remove those mobilized from the front, since another wave of mobilization will have to be carried out. There is no one to replace”, — she wrote.

In return, Kashevarova invited the relatives of civilian men sent to Ukraine to “fight for rotations, leave, payments, rehabilitation.”

On November 7, the wives of those mobilized came to a rally of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation dedicated to the anniversary of the October Revolution. There they unfurled posters demanding the return of those mobilized from the front.

And this means an even more uncontrollable composition of the Russian Federation, which is good for Ukrainians

- Last flight. A monument to Tereshkova was demolished in Lviv

- Alexei Derevtsov, who was killed in the war, was buried in one of the villages of Transbaikalia

He is survived by his wife and five minor children. His example clearly shows what motivates Russians who travel thousands of kilometers to kill Ukrainians.

Alexey Derevtsov lived in a semi-abandoned village. I earned 20 thousand a month. Drank. My wife gave birth regularly and says they didn’t even think about contraception and abortion. There is almost no work in the village. There are no prospects at all. You can move to the city, but the nearest cities are just as abandoned and unpromising. Derevtsov had another 15-25 years ahead of him of exactly the same impoverished, hopeless life.

There are tens of millions of people like Derevtsov and his family in Russia. It is precisely such people, and not at all visitors to a cafe in the center of Moscow, that are Russia. This is what you need to understand: if Derevtsov suddenly saw citizens, while waiting for lavender raf, discussing how wonderful banking is in Russia, he would never believe that these were citizens of the same country as himself. The topic of European visas does not concern the tree dwellers at all - they have not traveled 100 km from their wilderness. The topic of collective responsibility does not bother the tree people either - it is too complex and abstract for their weak brains.

- Monuments to Pushkin, Shchors and other Soviet figures may be removed in Kyiv — the government approved the corresponding resolution.

- “This is suicide — move there." What the Russian military says about the Ukrainian Armed Forces' bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper

«The only thing that is still holding — this is a prison"

After the first breakthrough of Ukrainian troops, all vacations were canceled in the Russian units that had been on the front line since August 2023.

«We were supposed to go on vacation with the guys on the 23rd. All documents were agreed upon, but at the last moment everything was canceled. We are on the verge here, the state is extremely unstable,” — says one of the contract workers. The editors have at their disposal a voice message from the commander of one of the companies stating that all vacations are prohibited at least until February — and then one person per month will be able to leave. The last time the battalion left for Russia was in June.

Some say that one of the commanders, who was selling permits to travel home, is to blame for the lack of vacations. “Many are willing to payb, but the boys and I are not ready, because this is complete *** [nonsense],” — says the soldier. But the BBC could not find direct evidence of this. “What can be done so that this scum finally understands that it is impossible to behave this way during a war? — says one of the military men. — I will say this: we have such a moral and psychological state that a little more and we will simply close the issue ourselves. The only thing that is still holding — This is a prison."
