Our world is changing so quickly that everyday things that people used to use now seem strange to us and it is very difficult to immediately figure out their functionality. It’s good that there are know-it-alls on the Internet who can tell you what these curious objects are.

These are heels for shoes. They were attached to heels so that the shoes would wear out less.

This is a bottle opener. It was attached to the wall for ease of use.
