Miami day and night (24 photos)
Miami is great! It's as beautiful as one would expect for a famous American resort. In these photographs, the author tried to show what exactly impressed him with this place.
1. An ocean with clean and warm water, wide lines of beaches, separated from the city by palm trees and other southern vegetation.
2. Miami Beach, a Miami resort area, is located on the islands located along the east coast of Florida. On the central streets parallel to the ocean (Washington Ave, Collins Ave and the Ocean Drive embankment) there are bars, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels, designed in an architectural style very characteristic of the states - Art Deco.
3. And this is Lincoln Road - something like a large mall, the retail areas of which are located in two and three-story buildings located on both sides of the street:
4. Above the beaches, high-rise hotels and residential buildings are fighting for the “beautiful view from the window,” most of the apartments in which are rented out like hotel rooms. It turns out much cheaper and more spacious than in a hotel:
5. Public beaches, paid sunbeds, sand mixed with algae for free. You cannot drink beer on the beach - only from a Pepsi-Cola bottle.
6. There are a lot of blacks and Mexicans. There are more than enough young ladies on the streets to leave positive memories of Miami:
7. Lots of expensive cars. This old Lambo just seemed cool to me:
8. Espanola Way corner of Washington Ave – here you can have a great meal, being in the very center of traffic:
9. also because the most famous nightclub - Cameo - is located here. If you want to get there, I recommend not to linger after dinner. By 22:00, according to the old American tradition, a huge line forms at the entrance, which you can bypass in two ways - either they recognize you (I’m not there yet), or you pay the so-called. Bottle Service. Unlike New York, where a similar service costs $300 for everyone for a liter of Jack Daniels, here the cost is $250 for everyone... too much, considering that the streets around it already look like a nightclub.
10. 15 minutes by car across the bridge and you find yourself in the city of Miami, consisting of skyscrapers, bridges, road junctions and lights. There is a lot here that resembles New York, only warmer:
11. Before starting to explore the city, we decided to eat steaks and compare them with the standard Odessa steaks from the Steakhouse. Found this place by chance:
12. They showed us the meat, brought us wine and, at our request, a cook’s robe. This little fetish was necessary due to the heavily air conditioned air. And I wanted warmth (preferably like outside). The Slovak waiter knew a few words of Russian, was moderately polite and did not argue with the fact that the overcooked potatoes needed to be replaced.
13. Whiskey, a bottle of wine for three people with meat and again whiskey for me means 0.8 ppm - the legal limit for driving a car. The city's 25 mph limit provides for just such a condition. And we went circling around the city:
14.
15. A very beautifully illuminated bridge. I wanted to take some photos from it, but it was blocked off at night by patrol cars. The police did not let me go on foot, suspiciously looking at my tripod and backpack with photo junk.
16. I had to limit myself to a side view:
17. And this is another bridge. One side view:
18. And on the other:
19. I liked the buildings, and I went to look for closer angles:
20. Nearby there is a seaport and some kind of monument made of iron:
21. A funny building, and next to it is a small furniture upholstery factory.
22. Near the purple bridge there are retail premises, a marina and restaurants. It was already about 3 o'clock in the morning when I got there, so people were absent. After 10 minutes of photographing, security found me and asked me to leave:
23. But still, I managed to take the necessary shots:
24. Miami is great!
