A youth match in Brazil ended in a mass brawl and a record number of ejections. The referee issued 51 red cards—a new world record.
Players from Uberlândia and Mamoré got into a massive fight right on the pitch, with coaches soon joining the fray. The referee was unsparing, ultimately sending off more than 50 people.
This incident may soon be entered into the Guinness World Records. The previous record—36 red cards—was set in 2011 during a match in the fifth division of Argentine football.
