Animators working on the first “Toy Story”: Woody's movements and facial expressions are set manually by changing the model's parameters on the screen.
The animated film was released in 1995 and became the first feature film entirely created using computer animation. This footage shows how a static model becomes a character: the animator adjusts the movements and facial expression to match the recorded line.
