A robot horse has been created in China

Chinese startup DaxAI showcased the Qiji X1 quadruped robot, which can be ridden.

The Qiji X1 resembles an enlarged robot dog with motorcycle handlebars. The robot's maximum payload capacity is about 300 kg, it reaches speeds of up to 9.6 km/h, and its range is 40 km.

The creators promise that this device is capable of autonomously navigating complex terrain — from steep slopes to muddy and gravel roads. It can also be "ridden in real-world conditions."

In addition, the robot is expected to be used for transporting heavy loads and participating in rescue operations.

Commenters are discussing the robot horse. "This is already the second time a regular horse has become obsolete due to technological advancement," Reddit users note.
