The Amazing Story of a Tiny Baby Who Survived Against All Odds (6 photos)

Molly Perrin was born at six months, 13 weeks premature. Even before her birth, a placental abnormality was diagnosed, and doctors informed her devastated parents, 34-year-old Stephanie and 38-year-old James, that their daughter would likely not survive three weeks.

At birth, Molly weighed just 470 grams—the equivalent of a bag of cereal—and was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit. The newborn was so small and fragile that her hand easily fit through her father's wedding ring. But despite everything, Molly proved she was ready to fight for her life. And three weeks after her birth, her happy parents were able to hold her for the first time.

And here Molly is already 17 weeks old, and her happy parents are finally getting ready to take her home.



Molly was diagnosed with intrauterine growth retardation, which is why she was underweight. She was born premature but survived and now weighs 2.5 kg.



Doctors said she wouldn't live more than three weeks.
