So, It's War! How a Post-It Note Battle Went Between Two Office Buildings (13 photos)
Post-it notes protect the world from chaos. Without them, no one would remember anything. No one could turn their office walls into superhero-themed murals. No one could leave passive-aggressive messages on the office refrigerator doors. And no one could stage the epic Post-it battle that took place in New York City. 
It all started innocently enough. A Harrison and Star employee wrote a simple "Hi" on Post-it notes on the glass of an office building at 75 Varick Street in New York City. And it didn't take long for a reply to come. 
Soon, a reply appeared on the windows of the building across the street: "Sup." 
Since both buildings house numerous editorial offices and advertising agencies, the exchange of notes turned into a real battle. 
The windows began to fill with funny pictures and messages. 
Someone made a Snapchat icon out of stickers. 
Others acted more chaotically. 
Even the Angry Birds got involved in the battle. 
3M, the maker of Post-it, also joined the fray, providing participants with free ammunition—colored post-it notes. 
As the battle grew more creative, it seemed like a draw was in store. 
Even Spider-Man couldn't stop it. 
Leaving no other choice, advertising agency Havas Worldwide ended the battle with an epic microphone throw. 
The employees stayed late, ordering beer and pizza to create an impressive finale, and the guys from Spectacle Studio later made this video. Unfortunately, the battle was shut down by building managers, who demanded that the participants remove all the stickers by the end of the week.
