An Android Who Challenged the Heights
A humanoid robot named Pemba made history by achieving the impossible: it successfully conquered the Chimborazo volcano in Ecuador, reaching an altitude of over 6,000 meters. This achievement marked the first time an android had not only mastered a challenging mountaineering route but also overcome the harsh high-altitude conditions that often prove insurmountable even for professional athletes. For its developers, the successful ascent of Chimborazo proved that robotics' capabilities in extreme environments are far more advanced than previously thought. Now, the team of engineers is setting its sights even higher: Pemba's plans include an assault on Everest, where the robot will have to prove its reliability and functionality in the most extreme conditions on our planet.
