Highly dangerous fish capable of easily biting off a finger have appeared in the Mediterranean (photo + video)
A particularly dangerous fish has appeared in the Mediterranean Sea. It can bite through a tin can and even rip off a finger. In addition to its powerful jaws, silver pufferfish contain the dangerous poison tetrodotoxin, which causes paralysis and respiratory arrest.
This species migrated from the tropics and is now spreading throughout the Mediterranean: they have been spotted off the coasts of Italy, Spain, and Greece.
A reward of €5.3 per kg has even been offered for its capture in Cyprus and Greece. ![]()
