A true act of heroism occurred in Brazil. 33-year-old teacher Carla Gama França, who has suffered from siderodromophobia (fear of trains) since childhood, saw a 55-year-old man fall on the tracks in front of an oncoming train. Despite her panic, she ran out of the car, ran to him, and managed to pull him to safety just eight seconds before the train ripped past.
