A spider robot from China: moves along walls, cleans rust, and welds parts
Chinese engineers have created robots capable of replacing humans in complex and dangerous operations. For example, the specialists have developed a model that can easily navigate vertical surfaces.
The climbing robot can work in chemical storage tanks, on ships, and at energy facilities. Equipped with artificial intelligence, it can weld, detect defects, and remove rust. The mechanical "climber" is powered by a cable, allowing it to operate indefinitely without requiring battery power.
Another new development is a robot for performing dangerous tasks on horizontal surfaces. It can replace humans in operations involving fires or toxic gas leaks: with its robust and flexible manipulator, the robot can close taps and operate valves. It can also detect fires within a 2,000-meter radius and issue warnings.
