Tesla assembled the last-ever Model X electric crossover (1 photo)
The final Model X crossover rolled off the Tesla Fremont assembly line: Steve Pennewell, an employee at the plant, posted an image of the body ready for assembly on social media. Before it was painted, factory workers signed the body.
According to unconfirmed reports, the employees' signatures have already been painted over: the final Model X rolled off the assembly line with a garnet-red body. Furthermore, the crossover is expected to be equipped with a commemorative plaque commemorating its unique status.
Tesla released the final Model X and Model S in a special limited-edition Signature Edition, which featured the most advanced features and some design accents. In mid-April, it was reported that the company accompanied the sale of each of these electric cars with an agreement under which the buyer was obligated, under threat of legal action and a fine, not to resell the vehicle for a year.
