A man tattooed his name on a woman's face and body about 250 times.

For years, a Dutch woman named Jock suffered from her boyfriend's controlling behavior.

The man bought a cheap tattoo machine online and began emblazoning his name on her. Jock was branded around 250 times, including her name and initials, and the inscriptions were placed on both her body and her face. The woman, who had long coped with her grief with alcohol and pills, finally found the strength to leave her boyfriend and seek help.

She turned to the foundation "Stichting Spijt van Tattoo" and, with their help, began removing the "signs of control and possession" from her skin. The end of this journey is far off, but she is already feeling much better. However, she hasn't yet been able to hold her ex-boyfriend accountable. Jock can't prove that the tattoos were done without her consent.
