The Rarest Ferrari Enzo Is Sold for $6 Million (14 photos)
RM Sotheby's will auction off the Ferrari Enzo supercar at the end of April. The car has an unusually high mileage for a car in its class, exceeding 19,000 kilometers, but it is still expected to fetch between €4.9 million and €5.3 million. This is because it is one of only nine supercars to leave Maranello with the optional Argento Nurburgring exterior color.
Adding to the rarity of this particular example is the fact that only five cars, including this one, combined the silver exterior with red leather interior trim. Among the advantages of this Enzo is the fact that for the first 15 years after its sale in 2004, it belonged to a single owner—a British collector. The supercar then spent several years in Switzerland, and has now returned to the UK.
Despite its impressive mileage, the car is said to be in excellent condition. Furthermore, it has an official Ferrari Classiche Certificate of Authenticity. The coupe is equipped with a naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter engine producing 660 hp and is likely still capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.65 seconds.
Despite the impressive price, this is far from the highest estimate for a Ferrari Enzo. Earlier this year, a car with just over 1,000 kilometers on the clock was auctioned in the United States for $17.8 million. This is almost triple the previous record bid.
