A Boy Was Slapped for Jumping the Bread Line

A 12-year-old boy said he headed straight for the counter when a man standing nearby, examining baked goods, punched him in the face so hard that he fell to the floor.

Police launched an investigation, and soon the brawler himself showed up and apologized to the injured boy. The man explained that he was planning to buy bread himself and was angered that the child, who had just approached the counter, wanted to cut in line. But even if the boy had intended to beat another customer to the punch, he certainly shouldn't have used violence. A simple warning would have been more appropriate. That would have made everyone feel better.
