Man drove away a bear that snuck up on his nephew
In Colorado, USA, a bear snuck up on a 9-year-old boy from behind. Fortunately, adults noticed the predator in time.
The boy was spending the weekend with his family in the city of Aspen. They bought him some corn at a farmers market, and he went out into the backyard alone to eat it. The boy was looking at his phone and chewing corn, sitting on a chair, when a black bear appeared behind him.
The animal sniffed the place where the child was, and came closer and closer until it was about 30 centimeters from the boy's head. That's when the predator was noticed by relatives. "I just froze for a couple of seconds, I didn't know what to do," the boy's mother described her emotions. At that moment, his uncle took action. He began making loud noises, and the bear ran away. Only at that moment, the boy, who had not noticed anything, jumped up from his chair and realized what had happened.
The relatives said that they had seen bears in this area before, but only at night. They did not expect that the predator would come to the residential building during the day.
