The boy was not confused and locked the leopard in the room
A surveillance camera installed in a building in the vicinity of the city of Malegaon (Nashik district, Maharashtra state, India) captured the moment a leopard entered the room in which the boy was located. The child was not at a loss and locked the predator.
The predator entered the hall where wedding celebrations were being held. The child, engrossed in playing on his mobile phone, was forced to distract himself in order to protect himself. He left the building and locked the predatory cat.
Later, law enforcement officers, joining forces with foresters, caught a five-year-old male leopard and moved him away from the populated area.
Forest officials said the presence of nearby agricultural fields and the proximity of the river have led to the occasional sighting of leopards in the area.
