A 25-year-old millionaire from Instagram spoke about her first million (10 photos)

Florida resident Alexa Collins is a millionaire. The 25-year-old recently purchased a four-bedroom mansion with a swimming pool, and that's far from the only attribute of her luxurious lifestyle. Alexa drives expensive cars, buys designer clothes, and travels the world in luxury, all thanks to social media.





No, Mrs. Collins didn't write code in her garage to create a new format of communication like Mark Zuckerberg, or toil all night over classified ads selling products like Jeff Bezos. Alexa profitably invested her looks, creativity, and a lot of time in her business.



When Alexa confronted her mother with the fact that she was dropping out of college to pursue a career as a blogger, she was shocked. She was certain her daughter was making a fatal mistake that would ruin her life. But Alexa, then only 21, had no doubt that success awaited her, and, as it turned out, she was right.



Collins registered her Instagram account in 2014 and, from the very beginning, treated her social media presence as a serious business requiring full dedication.

"I started modeling when I was 18, using photos from photo shoots to attract attention to my blog. Over time, I became more flexible and 'advanced' – I started posting text on my account. My parents weren't thrilled about it; they were determined for me to go back to college, as I was already a third-year student when I dropped out."



Alexa currently has 1.2 million followers on Instagram, and her account continues to grow dynamically. In an interview with Fabulous, the model discussed her successful blogging and her plans for the future:

"In July 2020, I reached 1 million followers, which was really cool, but I want to keep growing. I'm a millionaire now; I made my first million dollars before I even had a million followers, and that was amazing!"



Alexa said that she and her boyfriend, Tom, who works in real estate, purchased their first home, which has four bedrooms and a large pool in the backyard. She said it was a very exciting purchase, as the couple had never spent such a large sum of money before.



Despite her home in Miami's prime celebrity neighborhood, Alexa prefers to travel, as her job doesn't require her to be in an office. Collins's main source of income is advertising products for famous brands.



This is profitable not only because globally renowned companies pay well. Many of them provide their products for free to the blogger, as long as they appear in a photo, video, or short review.



Alexa makes no secret of her business and readily shares how to make money on Instagram. According to her, 50,000 followers are enough to start earning a relatively decent income. Of course, these followers must be "live" and active, and the account itself must be interesting and constantly moving forward.



A millionaire blogger shared some tips, based on her own experience, for successfully growing a blog:

1. Post at least twice a day, but make sure your page is aesthetically pleasing and the content is high-quality;

2. Write in a way that shows people you are a real person with your own joys and concerns, not an abstract ideal;

3. Use additional plugins, apps, and photo editing programs. Your images should be exceptional!;

4. Don't skimp on equipment, especially lighting. Create stunning locations for your photography;

5. Don't doubt success—it will definitely come if you don't give up halfway.
