Mercedes-Benz Designers Created a $10 Million Helicopter Interior (5 photos)

Mercedes-Benz participated in the creation of a special edition Airbus ACH145 helicopter called the Mercedes-Benz Edition. Designers from the German premium brand designed the interior for its passenger compartment, incorporating elements from Mercedes-Benz's top-of-the-line models. The exact price of this helicopter has not been disclosed, but some estimates place it at no less than $10 million.





The alliance used a Mercedes-Benz G-Class to present the new model, but the architecture of the helicopter's passenger cabin is more reminiscent of the Stuttgart-based passenger cars. It employs a restrained, minimalist design approach with generous use of flowing lines.

The helicopter will be finished in luxurious leather, natural wood, and metal. In addition to the seats, there are consoles with cupholders and storage areas for small items. Six basic color schemes are available, but for an additional fee, a custom design can be created—for example, in the same colors as the customer's car or yacht.

The helicopter itself is the latest Airbus model, capable of reaching speeds of up to 250 km/h and flight durations of up to four hours. It can accommodate four to eight passengers.
