The world's longest wild snake, a female reticulated python measuring 7.2 meters and weighing 96.5 kg, was discovered on the island of Sulawesi. In a completely relaxed state, its body length could be another 70 cm longer, but this will not be verified due to the need for anesthesia. The python is currently living in a rescue facility and has been nicknamed "Baroness."
