A 3.6-long python was caught on the street in the US meters
A huge snake terrorized Newberry County for several weeks. Eventually, locals Warren Gallman, his son Jordan, and nephew Jayden Atchison decided to find the python and catch it. Another amateur reptile catcher, Evan Turner, volunteered to help them.
The men easily found the snake, but when they tried to catch it, they encountered active resistance. For example, the python managed to push Warren into the bushes. He got off with minor scratches and was able to grab the snake by the head. The other men helped him immobilize the python.
The origin of the snake remains a mystery: this species is not found in the county. The Newberry Sheriff suggested that the python was once someone's pet, but grew too big and was thrown out on the street. Warren, who already has a snake in his house, decided to take care of the python until they find it a permanent home.
