Virtually everyone who has followed popular music in recent decades has heard his songs at least once in their life, and even if they haven't, they've certainly heard them in the background.

Brad Arnold, lead singer and co-founder of the American rock band 3 Doors Down, has died at the age of 48. The cause of death was complications from cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2025.

Brad Arnold began his musical career in 1996, co-founding the Mississippi-based band. He gained international recognition not only as a vocalist but also as the author of most of the band's lyrics and melodies. In the early stages of their career, Arnold also combined the duties of frontman and drummer.

The band gained worldwide fame for their compositions, which became classics of the post-grunge scene of the early 2000s. The single "Kryptonite," written by Arnold during his school days, propelled the band to the top of the charts, while the ballad "Here Without You" achieved multi-platinum status and became one of the most recognizable radio songs of the decade.

During Arnold's tenure, 3 Doors Down sold over 20 million albums worldwide and received numerous Billboard Music Awards and Grammy nominations. Colleagues in the music industry cite his significant influence on the development of the modern US rock scene.
