Sony and Honda to build PlayStation into electric cars (5 photos + 1 video)
The Afeela 1 electric car from Honda and Sony is said to be the world's first production car with a built-in PlayStation gaming console. It can connect PS4 and PS5 controllers and play games supported by those generations.
Games require an internet connection of at least 5 Mbps. For the most advanced games, the developers guarantee a lag-free connection at 15 Mbps. The game library will be accessible through the car's built-in media system. Joysticks appear to be not included.
It is not yet clear what mode the games will run in. Given that the controllers are wireless, it's possible that the driver might use them while driving. While driving, PlayStation might only work for rear passengers via individual screens.
