A predatory fish unexpectedly attacked a man near the shore of a hotel beach in Hurghada.
The incident occurred on the beach of the Beach Albatros Hotel in Hurghada. A moray eel bit the man on the leg while he was relaxing on the beach. Witnesses called emergency services, and he had to be hospitalized.
Footage posted online shows the men catching the aggressive fish. The predator was placed in a bag and released into the sea far from the shore. A moray eel bite leaves a laceration on a person's body, which can become infected when toxins from the fish's blood are absorbed. This species typically does not attack humans without provocation.
