A Swiss woman believed the real Brad Pitt was writing to her and gave the scammer tens of thousands of francs. Patricia fell in love with the Hollywood actor and agreed to come to Los Angeles, where she spent three weeks in a hotel waiting to meet him.

It all started in 2024, when the pensioner followed Pitt's official social media page. Soon, she received a message from a man claiming to be his manager. He offered to speak with the actor in person, and Patricia immediately agreed.

And so began a correspondence that soon took on a romantic nature.

"He asked me a lot of questions about how I felt, what I liked, how I saw life, and one day he made it clear he was in love with me," the deceived fan shared.

The fake Pitt confessed his feelings and began sending tender messages: "My love, you are everything to me now and forever."

The scammer asked Patricia to keep their affair a secret from the public.

The deception became even more obvious when they started talking about meeting in person. The perpetrator wrote, "Baby, my management wanted $50,000 for a date."

He claimed it was a fixed price for anyone who wanted to spend time with him.

Patricia was skeptical at first, but eventually decided to believe it was legit.

She said, "Maybe that's how they work... I've never dealt with actors before."

She ended up transferring thirty thousand dollars, and then another twenty. But the Fight Club star never called her. Instead, he sent flowers and a message: "I love you so much, baby."

The scammer asked for another ten thousand dollars for supposed medical expenses, then repeated his request. He later suggested they meet in the United States. She quickly bought a ticket to Los Angeles, confident she would finally meet the man of her dreams. But she ended up spending three weeks alone in a hotel.

Brad Pitt never showed up, but Patricia parted with another twenty thousand dollars before returning home.

Returning to Switzerland, she came across a story about a French woman who had given a large sum of money to a fake Brad Pitt.

53-year-old interior designer Anne was paying for the star's cancer treatment. She believed the AI-generated hospital room photos.

Then Patricia noticed the similarities in the stories and contacted the police. It turned out she had transferred almost 100,000 francs to the scammer.

Now the woman is trying to rebuild her life, but the emotional damage is taking its toll.

She admitted: "I'm incredibly ashamed. I realize I spent almost a year in a relationship that wasn't really there."
