61-year-old Brad Pitt and 49-year-old Angelina Jolie have reached an agreement to finalize their divorce after eight years of ongoing litigation.





The couple could not come to an agreement on property division for a long time, and now, according to the lawyer, the actress and all her children have become the owners of all the property that they shared with Pitt.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie met on the set of the film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in 2005. Pitt was then married to Jennifer Aniston, but the couple broke up that same year. Pitt and Jolie began an affair, and in 2006 they had a daughter, Shiloh, and in 2008, twins Vivienne and Knox Leon. The couple also has three adopted children - Maddox, Pax, and Zahara. Only in 2014, Jolie and Pitt got married in the south of France, but two years later, Angelina filed for divorce.

The actress then cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce, but later she accused Pitt of using physical force against her and the children. The point of no return for the couple was an incident on board a private flight, when Brad, according to Angelina, while intoxicated, hit one of the children in the face and grabbed the other by the throat.



Despite the fact that Brad and Angelina have sorted out one problem, they will continue to sue over the Chateau Miraval in France, which they acquired in 2008. The conflict broke out because Jolie sold her share of the winery to billionaire Yuri Shefler. From Pitt's point of view, she had no right to do this, since even before the marriage the couple agreed not to sell their shares to third parties without mutual consent.
