At one zoo, visitors noticed unusual behavior: a chimpanzee in its enclosure was holding a cigarette and attempting to smoke. According to staff, the cigarette was likely dropped by visitors themselves.
As a result, the administration decided to impose "sanctions": the chimpanzee was deprived of an extra meal after dinner to "emphasize the unacceptability of this behavior."
